People use the app to create 15- to 60-second videos to showcase their creativity, dance moves and much more. It’s beyond trendy!
In this one-minute marketing video, we share some of the pros and cons of TikTok, so you can determine if it’s right for your company.
Pro: If you’re looking to expose your brand to more people, TikTok has 800 million active monthly users worldwide.
Con: Unfortunately, right now you can’t easily link TikTok videos back to your website—so you’ll have to get creative for potential customers to learn more about you.
Pro: Each video starts to play automatically in a user’s feed—which means your content is more likely to be seen.
Con: Because TikTok organic analytics data only shows for 28 days, you’ll have to create your own spreadsheet to track longer-term performance.
Pro: TikTok is a great place to catch attention creatively and get discovered organically. Plus, business accounts are free.
Con: The U.S. Government recently announced plans to ban the app due to concerns about data sharing with China. It is uncertain whether a sale or legal challenge will resolve the issue.
With a fast-growing user base and an ad rate of $10 per thousand impressions, TikTok may be a good way to reach new audiences.
